About Me

Leslie earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University with a focus in mindfulness and transpersonal psychology and has since completed additional training in Somatic Regulation and Embodiment Strategies. Her education and interest in mind-body-soul connection assists her in helping women strengthen their capacity to feel connected to themselves and others while navigating anxiety, depression, loss/grief, life-transitions, self-esteem issues, relational issues, sexual trauma, and addiction.

In addition to her career as a therapist, Leslie also was a professional dancer for ten years performing at various types of music events.  Alongside her Masters Degree, dance and performance have been their own education in embodiment, boundaries, feminine archetypes and remembering the body as sacred. In her Masters thesis, Leslie wove together the healing capacity of dance and embodiment with the wisdom of psychology and emotional healing to create a method for self expression and exploration called Chakra Dance. Leslie attunes to each client’s needs and wants and incorporates somatic and embodiment practices into the therapeutic relationship as appropriate for each person.

Outside of work, Leslie is passionate about health, women’s empowerment, self-expression, and the creative arts. When she’s not with clients, you can find her organizing women’s circles for her community, exploring nature, or processing through embodied movement practices. Some of her favorite things are music you can groove to, collecting herbal teas, traveling with friends, scuba diving, making art, and dancing.

My Philosophy

I work sensitively - with embodied attunement to my clients. I use what I know about emotional expression and regulation to inform how I guide my clients. I do so with their unique story and struggles in mind. I cater my guidance to each individual. My style is relational in nature. I come to meet you, in humble reverence for your humanness, to witness you. To be with all of you, without judgment, but with kindness and curiosity.

My foundation is built on a mindfulness-based transpersonal framework. We work with what comes up in the present and I support my clients to see and feel themselves with loving-awareness. Where shadow ceases to be ashamed of, but instead, accepted and integrated. This is not just body-based work, this is soul work. While many of my tools are somatic, I also weave in the spiritual. I am a guide to support you in the reclamation of your sovereignty. To empower you and remind you of your unique gifts. To help you come back home to you. To be in connection with yourself is to be connected to the universe herself.

So if this feels resonate at all, let’s connect. I am here for you. We don’t have to do this journey alone. Here to guide you through a heart-centered approach to meet your individualized goals.
